- Research, identify, and evaluate grant, contract, sponsorship, and other revenue opportunities that align with organizational priorities, capacity, and community needs.
- Develop compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, concept papers, contract responses, sponsorship requests, budgets, budget narratives, and supporting materials.
- Coordinate proposal development to ensure accuracy, consistency, compliance, and timely submission.
- Maintain and manage funding prospect records, revenue development calendars, application deadlines, reporting obligations, contract renewals, and related documentation.
- Manage and maintain a comprehensive funder database, ensuring relationship, opportunity, revenue, and engagement records remain accurate and current.
- Assist leadership in developing and implementing strategies that diversify and strengthen revenue.
- Manage post-award grant and contract activities, including award documentation, compliance monitoring, reporting schedules, funder communications, renewals, amendments, and continuation requests.
- Ensure grant-funded and contract-funded activities comply with funding agreements, organizational policies, and applicable regulations.
- Track expenditures in partnership with operations and finance staff to support responsible stewardship of funds and adherence to approved budgets.
- Develop and maintain systems for tracking deliverables, outcomes, reporting requirements, timelines, and contractual obligations across revenue streams.
- Serve as the internal project manager for funded initiatives by coordinating cross-functional teams, facilitating communication, monitoring progress, identifying risks, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables and reporting requirements.
- Maintain records of proposals, contracts, agreements, reports, correspondence, and compliance documents.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with foundations, corporations, government agencies, sponsors, and other funding partners, serving as a primary point of contact for established funding streams.
- Coordinate funder meetings, presentations, site visits, and stewardship activities.
- Support leadership in prospect cultivation, funder engagement, and relationship management efforts.
- Monitor philanthropic, governmental, and funding trends to identify opportunities that align with organizational priorities and community needs.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure other fundraising efforts remain on track to meet annual goals.
- Assist as needed with sponsor cultivation, sponsorship proposal development, donor engagement, and stewardship activities related to fundraising initiatives.
- Support cross-functional projects, workgroups, and initiatives that advance organizational priorities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in grant writing, grant management, nonprofit development, fundraising, or project management.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills, including experience with outcomes measurement, impact reporting, and data-informed decision-making.
- Experience working within nonprofit, community-based, healthcare, or social service organizations preferred.
- Knowledge of the state's nonprofit and funding landscape and relevant professional certifications are a plus.
- Securing, managing, and stewarding grants, contracts, sponsorships, and other funding opportunities from prospect identification through award closeout and reporting.
- Developing compelling funding proposals, budgets, narratives, and reports that effectively communicate organizational impact and achieve funding objectives.
- Building and maintaining productive relationships with funders, community partners, government agencies, and other key stakeholders.
- Coordinating cross-functional projects involving multiple departments, funders, timelines, and deliverables.
- Utilizing data, outcomes, and performance metrics to support program evaluation, funder reporting, strategic decision-making, and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrating exceptional project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills while successfully balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Communicating effectively across diverse audiences through strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Exercising sound judgment when handling confidential or sensitive information.

- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends, as needed.
- Must have a valid SC driver's license, minimum state auto insurance, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel to multiple worksites in SC.
- Must have reliable transportation or be able to secure transportation for travel as needed.
- Must maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with SCT policy.
