Location: Active Wellness Center at NorthBay - Vacaville, CAPay Transparency: Pay Transparency: $16.90 - $18.00 per hour (DOE); Minimum rates may vary based on local wage laws. Pay depends on factors including site location, specialty, certifications, work experience, and other business needs.Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Service Desk Representative is a high profile customer service position delivering beyond our member's expectations. They contribute to member retention, as well as new membership sales. This person has the responsibility of being responsive to members; checking members in and acting as a resource for members' needs of goods and services while in the club facilities. The Service Desk Representative acts as the club's first line of communication with members and creates a friendly and welcoming environment.Specific ResponsibilitiesEssential FunctionsGreet members/guests enthusiastically and efficiently handle the check-in processAnswer telephone and field callsSchedule services appointments and take reservations either in person or by phoneAssist members with purchases of retail goods and club servicesPresent membership information to prospective members, as well as refer them to Member Sales DepartmentBe knowledgeable about all programs and activities offered throughout the centerPromote club services and activitiesAssist with keeping the club well stocked and cleanInventory of food items as well as locker and laundry serviceMaintain communication log and lost & found ledgerHandle member injury and illness incident reportingAdminister emergency care to members and guests in need of assistanceWork as a TEAM with all other departmentsOther duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisorOther FunctionsPromote club services and activitiesAssist with keeping the club well stocked and cleanAttend Active Wellness site meetings and trainingsHandle injury and illness and security incident reportingQualifications and Education RequirementsPrevious health club personal training experience is a plus.Previous experience with Member Management Systems is a plus.Basic accounting skills, customer service skills, results oriented, basic computer skills, ability to multitask, and commitment to the fitness industryMinimum GED/High School Diploma or equivalentMust be detail oriented, organized and highly responsive with a commitment to customer serviceStrong verbal communication skillsBasic computer skills, customer service skills, results oriented, ability to multitask, and commitment to the fitness industryAED/CPR/First Aid CertifiedProof of citizenship or legal statusPhysical and Working ConditionsAbility to take the responsibility for the health and safety of othersAbility to stand for several hours in a same shift; ability to lift 25 lbsFitness club environmentMust follow OSHA and Active Wellness safety standardsBenefitsHealth, Dental and Vision Insurance (Full Time)Health Flexible Spending Account (Full Time)Paid Time Off (Full Time)Parking & Transit Flexible Spending Accounts401(k) (Eligible after 1 year of service + 1000 work hours)Legal Support PlanEmployee Assistance Program & Mental Health Support ServiceComplimentary Club Membership and Discounts on Active Products (where applicable)This job description is intended to describe the general requirements for the position.
