Assistant Controller

A reputable company in Fort Worth is looking to hire an Assistant Controller to join their team. This role will be responsible for supervising the accounting staff, review and approve accounting transactions, participate in the budgeting process and support accurate financial reporting. They are looking for a candidate with strong knowledge of technical accounting, strong judgment, attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments of the company. Duties: Oversee the daily work of accounting staff, monitor workflow and productivity, and escalate personnel, operational, or performance-related matters to the Controller as appropriate. Prepare monthly journal entries, account analyses, and supporting documentation to ensure accurate financial reporting. Prepare financial reports and related schedules for the monthly executive report package and other management reporting needs. Review lease documents for new, renewal, amendment, and termination activity and provide accounting-related input as needed. Review AR/AP activity relating to tenant activity Update tenant information in budget models based on Leasing department projections. Assist with internal audits, external audit requests, and other financial review activities as needed. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related accounting experience. 5 years of accounting experience, including at least two 2 years in commercial real estate, or property management accounting. Lease administration experience preferred Experience supervising, training, or reviewing the work of accounting staff. Proficiency with real estate accounting software (Yardi, MRI, or comparable), advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and related business systems. #J-18808-Ljbffr Parker and Associates Recruiting
