Overview Easton Homeowners Association is an exciting new adult community in Avon, IN. We are hiring our first Lifestyle Director – Event Planner, a unique opportunity to shape this vibrant community from the ground up. We seek an organized, energetic, and motivated professional with experience in hospitality, country clubs, golf course operations, parks and recreation, municipal community programming, resorts, event management, or similar customer-focused environments. Responsibilities Greet and meet prospective buyers with high energy, enthusiasm, and excitement for the community. Utilize leadership and interpersonal skills to develop a strong working relationship with developer board members, sales team, and owners. Partner with the Developer to identify, coordinate and market all community events, programs and services. Coordinate with the Developer Sales Team on shared information regarding sales and standard HOA operations. Ensure initial events, classes, and customer service meet the needs of residents. Develop an active volunteer program among residents and solicit input and involvement to stimulate awareness and participation. Update website and send out communications for optimum community outreach. Arrange entertainment, food, decorations, and items necessary to carry out events. Send out communications for Lifestyle, Fitness, HOA, Groups & Classes as needed. Oversee monthly calendars for submittal and printing. Oversee monthly newsletter creation, collection of articles, and distribution planning. Develop partnerships with local businesses for sponsorship opportunities. Oversee New Resident Orientation as applicable. Attend Board, club, and committee meetings. Assess overall success of events through focus groups and evaluations. Establish, draft, and execute a lifestyle budget; review monthly financial statements; prepare variance reporting; monitor lifestyle A/P; code vendor invoices. In conjunction with Management, review incident reports and implement timely solutions. Perform other duties as directed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent interpersonal skills: outgoing, communicative, socially oriented, poised, articulate, persuasive in expression, and a strong public speaker. Ability to design and coordinate programs that enrich quality of life and enhance the living experience within a developing Active Adult HOA Community. Effective and dynamic public speaking skills. Effective interpersonal and communication skills with high energy, initiative, and enthusiasm. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, database software, internet, website portals, point of sale systems, registration processes, policies and procedures, and related tools. Ability to lead people and get results through others; work positively with staff, volunteers, and board members at all levels. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines; multi-task with interruptions and changes. Problem solving with good judgment and decision making; adaptability to change. Physical Demands & Work Environment Position involves sitting, standing, and movement throughout the day. Must be able to lift, carry, and manage equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds. Utilize a computer in an office setting. Physically able to work indoors or outdoors in varied weather conditions. Use a ladder and participate in and train others in activity rules. Capable of working extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience: Full-time, paid experience coordinating and promoting recreational activities and programs, volunteer programs and/or fundraising events. Must be able to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Valid Driver’s License. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in recreation, hospitality, communication, or related field and two years of related experience. Prior experience with Active Adult HOA programs. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. Equal Opportunity Employer.
