Job Description:

Performs planning and scheduling activities required to coordinate the flow of materials, parts, and products through various stages of production. Develops, implements, and monitors production schedules to support customer requirements, labor loading, and capacity constraints. Reviews schedules and production plans to determine material and component requirements, ensuring timely availability to meet manufacturing and delivery commitments. Collects, analyzes, and interprets planning data to prepare reports, identify risks, and recommend actions that support internal and external demand requirements for materials and finished goods. Expedites the movement of materials, parts, and assemblies within and between departments in alignment with production priorities and shipping schedules. Works under general supervision and apply established planning principles and processes to resolve routine to moderately complex issues.

Essential Functions:

• Utilize MRP systems to create, schedule, adjust, and release manufacturing orders for multi-level products in support of production and delivery requirements.
• Analyze material and component availability to ensure timely release of manufacturing orders and uninterrupted production flow.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain to expedite parts and resolve shortages impacting production schedules.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to maintain accurate planning parameters, including lead times, lot sizes, labor standards, and setup hours.
• Monitor production operations and track order status to ensure on-time completion and adherence to shipping schedules.
• Implement production schedules while balancing labor loading and capacity requirements across manufacturing areas.
• Review schedules and bills of material to determine material requirements and align supply with production demand.
• Expedite the movement of materials, parts, and assemblies within and between departments to support schedule attainment.
• Collaborate with stockroom, shop floor, and cross-functional teams to resolve known and unexpected material shortages.
• Collect and analyze planning data to identify risks, support corrective actions, and improve schedule performance and production efficiency.
• Travel requires less than 10%

• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, multi-level BOMs, routings, lead times, lot sizes, reorder points, resource planning, and production control processes.
• Practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, material flow, capacity planning, and cost-effective production practices.
• Skilled in analyzing planning data, identifying shortages and schedule risks, and implementing timely corrective actions.
• Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, Stockroom, and Operations.
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Familiarity with inventory management, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York (Greater NYC area) is $60,000.00 MIN - $112,000.00 MAX. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
