We are a small, busy medical office looking for a reliable, personable, and professional Medical Assistant to join our team. We pride ourselves on creating a friendly, supportive, family-like environment where everyone works together and helps one another.

Ideal for Pre-Med & Pre-PA Students: Gain meaningful hands-on clinical experience, work closely with providers and patients, develop valuable skills for your future career, and, for exceptional team members, have the opportunity to earn a strong letter of recommendation.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document patient information accurately
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and other clinical tasks
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure they are clean, organized, and properly stocked
• Take patient histories and update medical records
• Assist with scheduling, phone calls, referrals, and other administrative duties as needed
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all office policies and procedures
• Work collaboratively with physicians, other medical assistants, and office staff
• Be willing to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities when needed

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a busy environment
• Professional, positive, and friendly demeanor
• Comfortable interacting with patients of all ages and backgrounds
• Ability to work independently while also being a team player
• Genuine interest in pursuing a career in medicine, including applicants planning to attend medical school or PA school
