Job Title: Data Entry Clerk Records Re-Indexing
The Data Entry Clerk Records Re-Indexing is responsible for reviewing, organizing, and re-indexing legal and bankers boxes. This role involves interpreting documents, applying the companys retention schedule, and accurately capturing key information in Excel for upload into SharePoint.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Review and re-index contents of legal and bankers boxes according to company standards
Read and interpret documents to identify key metadata (record type, date, department, retention category)
Apply the companys Records Retention Schedule to classify documents appropriately
Accurately input indexing information into Excel spreadsheets
Upload completed spreadsheets and supporting files into SharePoint document libraries
Validate and verify data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency
Maintain proper file naming conventions and structured folder organization
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred)
Experience in data entry, records management, or administrative work
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, Teams)
Experience uploading and managing documents in SharePoint
Ability to read and interpret legal, financial, or operational documents
Familiarity with records retention schedules or classification standards (preferred)
Strong typing skills with high accuracy
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
