Health Unit Coordinator

Health Unit Coordinators (HUCs) coordinate unit activities with ancillary departments and perform clerical support for the unit. The clerical tasks include processing of patient orders, chart management, order processing, general support of the unit, and assisting with admission, transfer and discharge of routine and complex patients.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Upon hire: Certified Health Unit Clerk certification
• 1 year Clerical experience in a medical field such as medical assistant, unit secretary, admitting clerk or medical office receptionist.
