Material Handler

Job Description Job Description We are seeking a dependable and motivated Shop Floor Technician to join a growing manufacturing team specializing in large-scale acrylic structures. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working with tools, learning new skills, and being part of a production-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
Perform material handling, including movement and preparation of acrylic components
Assist with fabrication, polishing, and finishing of acrylic structures
Operate or learn to operate shop equipment such as saws, routers, drills, and polishing tools
Support packaging and preparation of finished products for shipment
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards
Participate in cross-training on equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, and beam saws

Qualifications
Basic knowledge of construction, manufacturing, or production environments preferred
Experience using power tools such as drills, saws, routers, and tape measures
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Willingness to learn new skills and take on hands-on tasks
Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
Comfortable working in a manufacturing/shop environment with noise, dust, and machinery
Ability to safely operate or learn to operate industrial equipment

Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Basic math skills required
Prior experience in construction, manufacturing, shop work, or manual labor is a plus, but not required

Additional Requirements
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Participation in ongoing or post-incident drug and alcohol testing may be required in accordance with company policy and applicable laws
