That is why we provide stable and long lasting careers, with extensive training and opportunities for growth.We are looking for Pool Monitors for our Woods Edge Community.The role of Pool Monitor involves monitoring water activities, enforcing safety regulations, and promoting a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnforce pool rules such as restrictions on diving, running, horseplay, and other unsafe activities to prevent accidents, injuries, and unsafe behaviors.Check pool passesRespond to and document any rule violations or incidents according to established procedures.Observe and respond to any potential hazards or unsafe conditions, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks.Assist with routine pool maintenance tasks, such as monitoring water quality, temperature, and chemical levels.Report any equipment malfunctions, damage, or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.Keep the pool area clean and organized.Greet and interact with pool visitors in a friendly and professional manner.Foster a positive and inclusive environment, promoting respect and consideration among pool users.Address visitor inquiries, concerns, or complaints promptly and courteously.The position includes all other responsibilities that may be necessary to fulfill the duties associated with the position or as may be assigned.QualificationsKnowledge of pool safety practices, rules, and regulations.Strong customer service skills and the ability to provide the UMH standard of service.Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently to complete job duties.Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.Physical Requirements of the JobPhysical stamina to stand, walk, and patrol the pool area for extended periods.Work EnvironmentWork is performed outdoors with exposure to elements of nature such as weather conditions, heat and insects.Work SchedulePool hours may vary by community location. In general, community pools are open from 11:00am to 7:00pm, 7 days per week, including holiday hours.Work schedule may be part-time or full-time depending on community location.In-person attendance is an essential function of this position.Job ClassificationThis is a non-exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
