Make a meaningful impact in a supportive educational setting as a dedicated, full-time School Psychologist working with K-5th grade students. This contract opportunity is situated in a welcoming community near Evanston, IL, where your expertise and compassion can help create positive outcomes for young learners.
Your ability to connect with students and their families is vital, and being bilingual in Spanish will enable you to provide culturally responsive services and bridge important communication gaps. Collaborate with educators, administrators, and other professionals to support children’s academic, emotional, and behavioral development in a dynamic elementary school environment.
Key Requirements:
- Current certification/licensure as a School Psychologist (State of Illinois preferred)
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish, able to communicate clearly in both languages
- Previous experience or coursework related to K-5th grade populations
- Strong understanding of psychological assessments, MTSS/RTI process, and IEP development
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and establish trust with students, staff, and families
Your Daily Responsibilities Will Include:
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations and assessments for K-5 students
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to design and implement IEPs and 504 plans
- Providing crisis intervention, short-term counseling, and behavior management as needed
- Supporting teachers and staff through consultation and data-driven recommendations
- Fostering positive school climate and promoting student resilience and success
