Level 2 Low Voltage Cable Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking experienced Level 2 Low Voltage Cable Technicians to support installation projects at new construction sites in the Clayton and Holly Springs, NC area. This role involves building and installing cable infrastructure, including pathways, conduit systems, and hardware, for large-scale commercial clients such as Novo Nordisk and Fuji Film.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, route, and secure low voltage cabling (data, voice, fiber) within conduit and structured pathways
• Build and install cable pathways including trays, racks, and supports
• Mount and wire equipment such as network devices, panels, and hardware components
• Interpret basic construction drawings, blueprints, and cable layouts
• Perform work in active construction environments while adhering to safety standards and PPE requirements
• Interface professionally with clients and on-site personnel to provide updates and ensure quality service
• Use personal hand tools to complete installations efficiently and accurately

Required Qualifications:

• 1–3+ years of experience in low voltage cable installation or structured cabling (Level 2 experience preferred)
• Proven experience running cable, building pathways, and mounting hardware
• Familiarity with job site safety standards and construction environments
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must have own tools for daily work
• Strong communication skills and professionalism when interacting with customers
• Able to pass compliancy tests

Work Environment:

• Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• On-site at construction locations in the Triangle area
• PPE required (steel-toe boots, jeans, safety gear)

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Clayton, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
