Operational and Payroll Staff Accountant

Description Full Time – Staff Accountant Healthcare Reporting directly to the Director of Accounting for BayMark Services, Inc. is responsible for certain accounting and compliance functions for the company. This person will be responsible for the accuracy and timely completion of all accounting functions. Travel as necessary. Responsibilities: Prepare journal entries to record activity and transactions for each bi-weekly payroll Prepare monthly journal entries to record such items as prepaid expenses, accruals, amortizations, depreciation, note interest, subsidiary revenue reporting and revenue reserves Maintain strict confidentiality of all payroll related information Analyze balance sheet accounts, revenue and expenses and explain variances Prepare monthly Financial Reports Reconcile balance sheet accounts Support integration of acquisitions Integrate acquisitions into the financial accounting process Support Programs by responding promptly and accurately to inquiries Support the annual financial audit process and special audits during the year Cross-train with the other staff to perform duties during absence Remain composed in a stressful environment and deal with frequent deadlines and multiple priorities Follow instructions and use critical thinking skills to make decisions Ability to handle stressful situations and interact with others Must be present during working hours at the office for in-person meetings and access to a computer without violating company policy Comply with internal financial controls, policies and procedures Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Prior accounting experience (2+ years) Detail oriented with strong attention to detail Exceptional oral and written communication skills are required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
