Job Description

As the Estimator , you will report directly to the Vice President of Pre‑Construction and take ownership of developing accurate, competitive cost plans from early concept through to final bid submission. Your responsibilities will include:

• Producing detailed estimates, budgets and conceptual cost plans across multiple commercial projects
• Managing the full subcontractor bidding process, including issuing invitations, analysing returns and building strong market coverage
• Coordinating closely with Project Managers to align pricing strategy, programme and risk
• Preparing phase reports and ensuring all bid documentation, insurance and bonding requirements are compliant
• Undertaking take‑offs and value‑engineering exercises to maximise commercial advantage
• Maintaining strong, long‑term relationships with subcontractors and suppliers while continually expanding the supply chain
• Supporting the smooth handover of secured projects into the Operations team

The Successful Applicant

For the Estimator role, we are seeking:

• Proven experience as an Estimator within commercial or general construction
• Strong knowledge of subcontractor procurement, cost planning and competitive tendering
• Proficiency with digital take‑off tools and construction software, including Excel and project management platforms
• The ability to communicate confidently with internal teams, subcontractors and senior stakeholders
• A detail‑driven, self‑motivated mindset with strong commercial awareness
• Someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment and enjoys being hands‑on
