Registered Nurse - Rehabilitation

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Rehabilitation RN to provide specialized inpatient care for patients with cerebrovascular disease, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injuries, amputations, neuromuscular disorders, and deconditioning. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient-specific treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients' neurological and physical conditions to inform plan of care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety.
• Collaborate with physiatrists, therapists, social workers, and nursing staff to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Document patient progress accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, progress, and discharge instructions.
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards during direct patient care.

Qualifications:

• Active WV or Compact RN license; pending licenses accepted, must be active to start.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in a rehabilitation or specialized setting.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Demonstrated experience with neurological and orthopedic patient populations preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
