Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Tutor III for Academic Support Services. Responsibilities Focuses on working with students with specific specialized academic needs. Meets with assigned at-risk students to review course materials. Assists with comprehension and develop study skills in students. Provides lesson plans to help students in achieving academic goals. Reports to academic support staff on students’ progress for assigned sessions. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in a related field and five (5) years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Patience, persistence, and positive attitude. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree strongly preferred. Experience in teaching, secondary education, and/or academic support with special populations is highly desired.
