Senior Accountant

Our client, a leading $11B+ global equipment services company headquartered near Charlotte that recently transitioned its primary public listing to the NYSE, is seeking a Senior Accountant! As a Senior Accountant, you will provide support to the accounting group, perform account reconciliations, create monthly journal entries, assist with monthly close and SOX compliance responsibilities, and assist with other special projects in order to ensure the maintenance of accurate and reliable financial data necessary for business operations and reporting.

Location: Fort Mill, SC - 10 minutes from Charlotte, NC
Hybrid Flexibility: 4 days onsite / 1 days remote
Compensation: 90,000-105,000 + 5% Bonus

Position Responsibilities:
This position is an important part of the monthly close process, ensuring all journal entries are posted, accounts are reconciled, and monthly documentation requirements are complete.

• Monthly general ledger account reconciliations.
• Monthly journal entries.
• Maintain records and reporting to ensure compliance with SOX regulations.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principals
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
• Experience with Accounting ERP systems
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
