In-depth understanding of how own sub-function contributes to achieving the objectives of the function. A good understanding of the industry, direct competitors' products and services, is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business. Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the relevant part of the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/or area of expertise and related subject areas. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary. Responsible for executing functional strategy in area managed. Determines approach to implementing functional strategy. Accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and contribution to future strategy of the area(s). Impact reflects size of team managed, strategic influence on the business and interaction with other functions or businesses. Full management responsibility for multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations and budget approval. May be involved or responsible for diverse (cross-discipline) activities. Champions change initiatives, mobility, diversity, training, cost, compliance, and risk & control initiatives.Responsibilities:This role will manage preparing and reviewing loan documentation and life of loan servicing functions while providing support to a variety of tasks related to the loan process.Activities will include independently processing, closing and servicing loans within a complex loan operations environment.Strategic professional who anticipates and designs changes to business systems, processes and tools within loan documentation .Leads and manages a large/complex loan team with responsibility for the full range of the function.Provides direction on leadership and people development for the team. Qualifications:15+ years of experience, including 8-10+ years of managerial experienceIndividual must be accountable, ethical, results oriented, trustworthy and credible.Reasonable knowledge of Business Processes, Systems and Tools used in the Loan Process is requiredAdvanced understanding of Loan Processes, Procedures, Products and ServicesGeneral awareness of managing, preparing, and reviewing loan documentationExpert in identifying, mitigating, managing, resolving, and escalating risks and issuesIn-depth awareness of risk types, policies and control measures and processesComply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and adhering to PoliciesEducation:Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred and managerial experienceThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
