Physical Therapist – Outpatient Orthopedic Clinic Overview Join our outpatient clinic to treat a variety of orthopedic and sports medicine patients. In this role, you will plan and administer medically prescribed physical therapy to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent disability. Responsibilities Review physician's referral/prescription and patient condition to determine physical therapy treatment required. Test and measure patients’ strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency; record findings to develop or revise treatment programs. Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on evaluation of patient data. Administer physical therapy treatments (including home instruction) within scope of practice and monitor patient responses. Evaluate effects of treatments and adjust plans to achieve maximum benefit. Document findings, treatments, responses, and progress in patient charts per clinic guidelines. Collaborate with physicians and other departments to ensure interdisciplinary care. Comply with clinic infection control, safety, regulations, and policies. Educate patients and families on care and use of therapies/exercises; serve as a resource for patients, families, and staff. Provide physical therapy services and maintain appropriate protocols. Supervise and assist with student observation and clinical rotations if applicable. Assist in marketing/promotional efforts and participate in in-services and departmental meetings. Support smooth clinic operations as assigned by the Therapy Manager. Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Physical therapy degree from an accredited college or university; one year of related experience and/or training preferred. New grads are encouraged to apply. Must possess a Physical Therapy license in the state of practice and display it at each practice location.
