Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology for a travel nursing job in St. Louis, Missouri.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Oncology\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/12/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 8 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 5x8hrs\n Hours: 40 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 12, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking an Oncology RN with at least 1 year of experience and port/CVC access skills for a 13-week infusion center assignment.Details\n \n Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching hospital setting\n Oncology infusion center primarily focused on lab draws and injections via ports and CVCs\n Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday\n No weekend requirements\n No on-call requirements\n Occasional floating required to other satellite oncology locations within scope\n EPIC charting system used\n Requirements\n \n Active MO state RN license or compact license required at time of consideration (no issuance if tied to another compact state)\n Minimum 1 year of oncology nursing experience required\n BLS and ACLS certifications required\n Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) and OCN preferred\n Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted\n Strong assessment skills and ability to recognize/communicate abnormal lab values\n Experience with port access and management, central line and PICC line care, and central line blood draws\n Experience with isolation and neutropenic precautions\n Experience administering IM injections\n EPIC EMR experience required\n Additional Information\n \n Provide oncology infusion care including chemotherapy administration and monitoring for oncologic emergencies\n Manage symptom care for conditions such as nausea, neuropathy, and mucositis\n Care for patients with a wide range of cancer diagnoses including breast, lung, colorectal, and blood cancers\n Navy scrub color required\n No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed during the first week\n No more than 3 tardies or 2 call-ins permitted per 13-week contract\n Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius; no local candidates accepted\n Permanent BJC or Saint Luke's employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler\n Returning travelers must complete an 18-month tenure limit followed by a 3-month break in service\n Fit testing required; facial hair must allow for proper mask fit or be shaved\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-753383.
