We infuse a commitment to civic engagement, equality, and communal action into each of our programs, which include early childhood education, youth development, healthy aging, mental health and wellness, English classes for adult immigrants, community centers, and the arts.Responsibilities:Under the guidance of the Teacher, plan and complete assignments in support of daily classroom program and activities.Conduct home visits at least twice per year for each familyProvide primary care to classroom childrenMaintain an organized, safe and sanitary classroom for childrenAssist with classroom set up and clean up on a daily basisComplete and document daily, weekly and monthly classroom maintenance responsibilitiesAssist in the development and implementation of the curriculumDevelop consistent, stable and supportive relationships with families and childrenBe part of a team in assessing family needs and child development status, and in creating classroom goalsMaintain proper documentations of classroom sessionsMaintain written observation of the children's experience in the classroomAssist in the recruitment of families for the programAttend and participate in program wide activities that include staff and parent meetings, events, trainings and professional development sessions as requiredMaintain up-to-date regulation required trainingsOther duties as requested by supervisor to fulfill job responsibilitiesQualifications:High School Diploma or HSE required, Bachelors degree preferredTeacher Assistant Certification or CDAExperience working with childrenBilingual English / Spanish preferredWork Schedule: Full time, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm, 35 hours per weekWe are committed to building a diverse and inclusive community.
