Job Summary

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Business Systems Analyst FX Trading Platform Modernization on behalf of our client in Salt Lake City, UT / Midvale, UT.

This role is ideal for a Business Systems Analyst with experience in Capital Markets, Treasury, and Foreign Exchange (FX) trading environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in evaluating, enhancing, and modernizing enterprise trading platforms by supporting strategic migration initiatives, business process improvements, and system integrations. This position requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, technology teams, and trading operations to deliver scalable solutions that improve efficiency, regulatory compliance, and overall trading capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis activities supporting FX trading platform modernization and migration initiatives.

• Assess current-state processes and define future-state business and technology solutions.

• Gather, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, technical, and non-functional requirements.

• Conduct gap analyses, process mapping, capability assessments, and solution evaluations.

• Partner with stakeholders across Trading, Treasury, Operations, Risk Management, Finance, Compliance, and Technology teams.

• Analyze and optimize the end-to-end FX trade lifecycle, including trade capture, pricing, confirmations, settlements, treasury operations, risk management, and regulatory reporting.

• Define integration requirements for enterprise trading platforms and downstream systems.

• Support implementations involving SWIFT messaging, APIs, microservices, and modern integration architectures.

• Develop project documentation including business requirements documents, functional specifications, process flows, user stories, use cases, data mapping documents, and test scenarios.

• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, requirement reviews, and solution design sessions.

• Support testing activities including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production readiness, deployment, and post-production stabilization.

• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA teams, infrastructure teams, and third-party vendors throughout the project lifecycle.

• Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives and promote business analysis best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.

• 3+ years of Business Systems Analyst experience within Capital Markets, Treasury, Banking, or Financial Services environments.

• Experience working with enterprise FX trading platforms such as Nasdaq Spectrum, ION, Calypso, or comparable trading solutions.

• Strong understanding of the Foreign Exchange (FX) trade lifecycle, including Spot, Forwards, Swaps, Options, Pricing, Confirmations, and Settlements.

• Experience supporting platform modernization, migration, or digital transformation initiatives.

• Knowledge of SWIFT financial messaging standards, including MT300, MT103, and MT202.

• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise system integrations.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience working within Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.

• Experience supporting SIT, UAT, deployment activities, and production support.

• Working knowledge of SQL, data analysis, reporting tools, or business intelligence platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise trading platform replacement or transformation programs.

• Familiarity with cloud-based financial services platforms and modern application architectures.

• Knowledge of FIX Protocol, ISO 20022, or other financial messaging standards.

• Experience supporting regulatory initiatives within Capital Markets or Treasury organizations.

• Professional certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile, Scrum, or SAFe.
