Accounts Receivable Coordinator
Spectra360 is seeking a qualified Accounts Receivable Coordinator for our client in Edison, NJ. This role supports the Finance & Accounting team by processing customer payments, following up on outstanding balances, resolving invoice discrepancies, and assisting with basic accounting functions. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong Excel skills and accounts receivable experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Post customer payments accurately in the accounting system.
- Contact customers regarding past-due balances and track payment remittance information.
- Research and resolve customer invoice disputes.
- Review and approve orders for credit in accordance with established procedures.
- Assist with negotiating customer payment terms.
- Submit invoices through customer web portals.
- Support basic accounting activities as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in business, accounting, or finance.
- One to three years of accounts receivable experience.
- Experience with or exposure to basic accounting functions, including journal entries.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and accounts receivable and general ledger procedures.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and IF statements.
- Experience working with ERP or general ledger systems.
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and follow established procedures.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive, professional attitude.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
Work Environment
- This position is performed on-site in an office environment.
- Remote or work-from-home arrangements are not available.
