Medical Front Desk Receptionist

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our healthcare team in Connecticut. The Front End Receptionist plays a critical role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring efficient front desk operations. Experience as a Medical Assistant is a plus.

Compensation: $21.00 - $24.00 Per Hour

Responsibilities:

Patient Check-In: Greet patients with a warm and friendly demeanor as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.

Scheduling: Assist in scheduling patient appointments, making reminder calls, and rescheduling as necessary.

Patient Registration: Accurately collect and input patient information into the electronic medical records (EMR) system.

Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance information, collect co-payments, and address billing inquiries.

Phone Handling: Manage incoming phone calls professionally, directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel.

Medical Records: Maintain and update patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Patient Flow: Manage the patient flow in the waiting area to minimize wait times and maintain an organized front desk area.

Support Providers: Assist healthcare providers and medical staff with administrative tasks as needed.

Medical Assisting (if applicable): Perform medical assistant duties such as taking patient vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with minor procedures.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Prior experience as a Front Desk Receptionist in a medical setting is preferred.

Medical Assistant certification or experience is a plus.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
