Since 2018 Elevate Aircraft Seating has been enhancing the passenger experience through innovative aircraft seat design and manufacturing With locations in California Washington and Germany we are guided by creativity collaboration and a shared commitment to quality We are looking for a skilled Quality Control Line Inspector to join our team in Huntington Beach CA This is an on site position based in Huntington Beach CA We value teamwork inclusivity and continuous professional development and we offer competitive benefits along with opportunities for growth JOB SUMMARY To interpret engineering data such as drawings and specifications and inspect in accordance with the data Must be able to use standard measuring equipment such as calipers micrometers height gages dial indicators etc Perform visual and dimensional inspections for final and first article inspections on aviation parts from details to top assemblies Must be able to understand visual and cosmetic standards Must have the ability to clearly write nonconformance reports and assist in corrective actions investigations SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES Essential Functions Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Interpret engineering data such as drawings and specifications Competent in using measuring equipment such as calipers micrometers height gages indicators Perform visual and dimensional inspection Perform in process final and first article inspections including writing FAI documentation bubble drawings Forms1 2 and 3 Perform inspections to visual and cosmetic standards Able to write inspection reports and nonconformance reports Able to understand root cause and participate in corrective actions Perform review of supplier certifications for conformance to requirements Data collection for statistical analysis Must understand and be able to interpret tolerances Understand application and use of all types of precision measuring instruments used in mechanical inspection including interpretations of geometrical and positional tolerance requirements Travel as required to support suppliers or sourceauditing inspection program GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS Education Knowledge and Experience Education A High School Diploma is requiredA two year college Associate Degree TradeTechnical School or certification is desired Experience Position may be filled with both entry level and experienced candidates Skills Microsoft office applicationsBasic math Preferred SkillsExperience Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications Other Must be authorized to work in the United StatesExtended or irregular or irregular hours may be required CERTIFICATES AND LICENSE ASQ Certification desired SUPERVISION PROVIDED TO THE POSITION Direction with necessary guidance is provided in terms of tasks and craftsmanship and measured based upon how well tasks have been completed Receives detailed instructions as needed PROBLEM SOLVING Develop and provide solutions to complex problems based on established precedents and are consistent with organization objectives LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Elevate Aircraft Seating offers competitive wages and benefits to recognize employees for their work The base pay offered will vary depending on job related knowledge skills location experience and take into account internal equity Hourly Rate Transparency 25 27 per hour Featured Benefits Generous 401k matching with immediate eligibility and vesting3 weeks of Paid Time Off12 paid holidays Affordable health care plans for yourself and your familyAnd so much more Other Perks On site gymFree electric car charging stationsPotential for growth within organizationSupportive workplace environment with a team oriented culture #J-18808-Ljbffr Elevate Aircraft Seating
