Quality Control Inspector

Uremet Corporation is in search of a Quality Control inspector to support our internal Machine Shop as they submit first cut pieces for inspection. The inspector will also support Final Inspection to inspect completed orders prior to shipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong eye for detail, a Quality mindset, and the flexibility to reprioritize their workflow to accommodate changes in order priority. Hours: Monday thru Friday. 06:00 - 14:30. Overtime as needed. Duties/ Responsibilities Support all Entry Level inspector duties plus the following: Demonstrate the ability to perform detailed inspections and testing of amusement park ride wheels. Typically requires more advanced inspection techniques and tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, height gauges, depth micrometers, thread gauges, gauge pins and FARO arm). Prepare and submit non-conformance documentation. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure compliance. Must understand dimensional inspections, tolerances, and inspection methods. Document and analyze inspection data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Assist and support internal audits. Train and mentor entry-level inspectors. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. All other tasks assigned by Supervisors or Management. Skills/Abilities An inspector should be able to interpret drawings that detail product specifications. Conduct inbound inspection of hubs for specific customers within a timely manner to ensure prompt order entry and completion. Read and interpret drawing specifications to determine necessary quality parameters. Must be able to read and interpret GD&T symbols and understand their application. Must be proficient in reading engineering drawings and blueprints. Ability to identify nonconforming parts and clearly communicate issues to production. Prepare non-conformance reports for disposition Inspect, test and sample material, assembled parts or products for defects and deviations from specifications Prepare detailed inspection reports for customer shipments, including all cert packages. Operating pallet truck. Work Experience and/or Education: Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing or Machine Shop environment (preferably with QC tasks).
