Schedule

12-hour day shifts from 06:30 to 19:00. Weekend hours: 2 weekend shifts required in a 2-week pay period.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Med Surg to join our team. The position is located in a teaching hospital with a comprehensive range of services. The RN will deliver high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on geriatrics and adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and support to patients in a Med Surg setting.
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatment as prescribed.
• Coordinate with healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Manage EKG/Cardiac monitoring and respiratory assessments.
• Support patients in ETOH detox, post PCI, DKA/HHS, and other common diagnoses.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN).
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (Must have training in ACLS or rhythm interpretation course).
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a similar setting.
• Experience with medication titration and respiratory support.
