Systems Analyst

We have an outstanding Contract position for a Systems Analyst to join a leading Company located in the Pittsburgh, PA surrounding area.

In this roleyou will act as a liaison to the businesses and various customer groupsas well as coordinate and lead the offshore teams in the support of the Oracle Global Data Warehouse whichenables reporting consistency across Oracle, Hyperion, and Microsoft SQL Server / Power BI analytical applications that serve multiple finance and procurement functions. Your responsibilities will include investigating and resolving support issues, championing process improvements, coordinating technical work and support efforts across various infrastructure and application support teams.

Job Responsibilities:  

• Provide oversight of deployments, enhancements, and process changes
• Coordinate, investigate, and resolve production support issues across systems
• Support system upgrades, acquisitions, and technology expansions, including legacy system integrations
• Ensure systems remain secure and compliant, maintaining a strong cybersecurity posture
• Drive process improvements and optimization initiatives, including recommending system enhancements or replacements
• Continuously expand skillset in line with evolving technologies and business needs
• Lead and coordinate the offshore technical team
• Ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time
• Provide direction, oversight, and quality control
• Work effectively across diverse stakeholder groups, including: Business users (finance, procurement, etc.), Technical teams, External/3rd-party partners
• Demonstrate strong ownership and accountability
• Proactively identify issues
• Catch and correct errors early
• Advanced SQL proficiency (Write complex queries from scratch, Optimize and enhance existing queries)
• Strong experience with: Data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, Data security
• Oracle EBS: Understanding of underlying database structure, Experience working within EBS-based DW environments
• Performance tuning
• Stored procedures analysis
• Troubleshooting complex data/system issues
• Ability to collaborate with DBAs and make performance recommendations
• Working knowledge of Linux environments
• Awareness of cybersecurity vulnerabilities and impacts
• Understanding of how data supports key business functions: Finance, Accounts Receivable / Credit, Procurement
• Demonstrate fundamental understanding of business applications, processes, and technology
• Establish and maintain an effective working relationship across the organization, with leadership, customers, and 3rd party vendors
• Oversee the deployment of customizations and enhancement requests and provide guidance tothe developer teams. Ensure that all system development, change control standards andcompliance processes are followed
• Coordinate and assist in investigating and resolving support issues,technical work across various infrastructure and application support teams
• Participate in and support system upgrades, deployments, and technology expansions
• Preserve and improve the cybersecurity posture by keeping the applications and their infrastructure up to date
• Manage smallto large-scale projects workingwith stakeholders to –plan requirements, manage and track project schedules, monitor budgets, identify risks, and communicate clearly with partners from across the company
• Lead the discovery, planning andimplementation of process improvements in individual or cross-functional areas of responsibility for continuous optimization of support and testing
• Collaborate with ITBusiness Architect to define and maintain application roadmaps
• Maintain ITIL artifacts (CMDB and support KB articles), architecture diagrams, audit, disaster recovery andvarious support documentations
• Pursue continuous learning consistent with the movement in the job requirements and changes in technology

Basic Hiring Criteria:  

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 5 (five) years of experience in Information Technology
• Strong proficiency in writing and executing SQL
• Working Knowledge of Data Warehousing, ETL processes andData Security concepts
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Experience feeding or supporting data pipelines into: Hyperion, Reporting/data visualization tools

Desired Qualifications: 

• 2+ years priorexperience ofsupporting Data Warehousing solutions
• Exposure or working knowledge of Oracle ERP modules - Finance, Project Accounting, Procurement, Order-to-Cash, and Procure-to-Pay
• Experience with Oracle R12 (12.2), Oracle 19c databases, PL/SQL, SQL, Linux
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with customers, vendors, other IT professionals, and management.
• Solid understanding of the software development life cycle
