We believe that the key to providing truly excellent health care is to partner with our patients and their families, building a system of care that is effective, affordable and valuable to everyone who is touched by it.\n\nTheChristianaCare Springside location is currently recruiting for a Part-Time MRI Technologist.\nShift:\n\n \n Two 12-hour shifts, per week 7:30am-8pm.\n \n Weekend rotation, approximately once every 90 days.\n\n\nResponsibilities:\n• Demonstrates complete knowledge and proficiency in the use of MRI units, radiology supported computer systems and CD burners.\n • Performs MRI procedures and quality control as defined by departmental protocols.\n • Performs MRI safety screenings for patients and research implanted devices prior to scanning.\n • Maintains compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in ACR and state licenses. Complies with Joint Commission regulations.\n • Completes all technical assigned imaging and non-imaging procedures in the designated scheduled times.\n • Enters accurate patient study information into the clinical care systems.\n • Assist with the coordination of workflow and patient care activities.\n • Obtain clinical history regarding reason for examination and obtains appropriate consent.\n • Verifies insurance pre-authorization as defined by departmental protocols prior to scanning patient.\n • Maintains patient confidentially.\n • Uses 2 patient identifiers at all times.\n • Demonstrates ability to obtain IV access.\n • Ability to assess patient for adverse reactions and/or changes in patient status.\n • Demonstrates complete knowledge and proficiency in the use of contrast media injectors.\n • Demonstrates knowledge and ability to perform i-STAT testing and accurate calculation of GFR following established departmental policies and procedures.\n\nRequirements:\n• MR Technologist—experience required.\n • ARRT Registered Technologist required.\n • ARRT Advanced MRI Certification required within 2 years of hire.\n • Cerner training required.\n • Excellent customer service/telephone skills required.\n • Flexibility in hours is required.\n • Flexibility to work at alternate locations as needed.\n • Ability to work independently.\n\nEducation Requirements:\n • Completion of ARRT registry in radiologic technology required (two-year accredited program).\n • Completion of ARRT registry in MRI required (achieved within two years of hire).\n • State Licensure on Radiation Protection is required.\n • Completion of formal and/or on the job training on cross sectional anatomy.\n • An Associate’s degree is required; candidates are required to attain an\nAssociatesof Sciencedegree (can be substituted within a related field), within three (3) years of their start date as outlinedin the Education Agreement required to be signed as a condition of employment.\n • Certification in CPR.\n • Yearly PEEPS certification required for proper and safe positioning and transfer of patients.\n\nSpecial Requirements:\n • State Licensure on Radiation Protection is required.\n • The successful completion of the MRI Registry exam is a job requirement. A technologist, who is recruited and non-certified, will have a grace period of 2 years following hire to pass this exam.\n • Completion of IV training course.\n\n\nThis position pays $38.13 to $52.43 based on experience.\n\nThis pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
