The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in GAAP, hands-on experience preparing journal entries, and familiarity with billing/invoicing processes. This role is well-suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of the monthly close cycle.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, review, and post journal entries in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and variance analysisManage client/customer billing, including generating invoices, tracking accounts receivable, and resolving billing discrepanciesMaintain accurate and organized general ledger recordsReconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and balance sheet accountsSupport accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as neededAssist in the preparation of financial statements and internal reporting packagesEnsure compliance with internal controls and accounting policiesSupport external audits and tax preparation by providing documentation and schedulesIdentify and help implement process improvements within the accounting functionCollaborate with other departments to resolve billing or accounting-related inquiriesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field1–4 years of relevant accounting experience (staff accountant or similar role)Strong working knowledge of GAAPProven experience preparing and posting journal entriesExperience with billing/invoicing and accounts receivable processesProficiency in accounting software (e.g., xhyhwjd QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCPA track or progress toward CPA a plus, but not requiredWhat We OfferCompetitive salary: $65,000 – $80,000, based on experienceHybrid: 2 days per week in the officeHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysOpportunities for professional development and growthCollaborative, supportive team environment
