Information Technology Support Specialist

Position Summary

The IT Support Technician is responsible for providing hands-on technical support, maintaining end-user equipment, managing mobile devices, and assisting with day-to-day technology operations. This role works directly with users and internal teams to resolve technical issues, maintain accurate equipment records, and ensure IT resources remain operational and properly configured. Open to entry level candidates. Must have some SQL experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of computers, mobile devices, peripherals, and other technology assets, including monitoring available inventory and initiating replenishment when necessary.
• Manage assigned incidents, service requests, and technical projects through the organization's help desk or ticketing system.
• Perform initial troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, and repair of computer hardware and related equipment.
• Coordinate with external service providers when an issue requires specialized technical expertise or repairs.
• Travel to company locations or active job sites to provide in-person technical assistance as needed.
• Evaluate technical issues, determine appropriate solutions, and escalate matters that exceed the scope of the position.
• Provision and configure employee accounts, computers, mobile devices, applications, and other technology based on established security and access requirements.
• Manage the complete lifecycle of mobile devices, including deployment, configuration, inventory tracking, maintenance, and retirement of iPads, iPhones, Microsoft Surface devices, and similar equipment.
• Assist with testing and evaluating new hardware, software, and technology solutions prior to broader deployment.
• Investigate user and system problems, implement approved solutions, and engage additional technical resources when necessary.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required, with the ability to travel to company locations or job sites.
• Technical training, coursework, or certification in information technology, computer operations, data processing, or a related discipline preferred.
• At least two years of experience providing technical support within a networked computing environment.
• Working knowledge of mobile device management (MDM) technologies and practices.
• Strong customer service skills and a professional approach when working with end users.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical problems, prioritize competing requests, and work independently when appropriate.
• Strong sense of accountability, reliability, and willingness to take ownership of assigned tasks.
