Material Handler - 2nd Shift Urgent Need (Entry Level Position)

Overview Position Title: Material Handler - 2nd Shift Location: Redlands, CA Employment Type: Contract on W2 (U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders) Hours: 2:00pm – 10:30pm Duration: 5 months Weekly Hours: 40 Level of Experience: Entry Level Qualifications: High School Diploma waived; training provided for pallet jack, forklifts, and other operating equipment. Responsibilities Operate forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products within plant, office, or warehouse. Maintain records as needed. Develop skills in basic tasks, techniques, and procedures within one skill area/process/method. Apply basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks following prescribed steps. Adhere to SOPs, scientific methods, and quality guidelines. Work under general to limited supervision. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Zero to one year of warehouse or related experience and/or training. Ability to obtain and maintain required licenses, training, and certifications. Basic training in an analytical or scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling, logistics, manufacturing production). Effective communication skills understandable by coworkers, team lead, and supervisor. Ability to read, write, interpret documents in English and perform basic math calculations. Capability to operate in a metrics‑driven environment and general computer proficiency. Physical Demands Working conditions include walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, climbing, lifting, crouching, reaching, pulling, pushing, grasping, talking, hearing, twisting, and repetitive use of hands. Lifting and/or moving items over 50 lbs. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, extreme weather conditions, vibration, and high or precarious locations. Exposure to fumes and airborne particles in some areas. Work environment may be hot in summer (no AC) and cold in winter (limited heating). Noise level is moderate to loud.
