Qualifications & Required Experience:

• Current, active RN license in good standing
• Minimum of one year recent experience as an RN in a CVOR environment
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, scrub techs, and anesthesia teams
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Familiarity with advanced cardiovascular surgical equipment and protocols

Schedule:

• Contract-based assignment
• Shifts and hours may vary; flexibility is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries
• Assist with preparation and management of equipment, instrumentation, and supplies for surgical procedures
• Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and provide high-level support throughout surgery and recovery
• Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies
• Participate in operating room setup, sterile procedures, and adherence to infection prevention standards
• Provide patient and family education regarding surgical processes and post-operative care
