Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Take on a dynamic role providing expert perioperative care as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. This contract opportunity allows you to utilize your clinical expertise in a fast-paced environment, supporting surgical teams and ensuring patient safety throughout operative procedures.

Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted RN license
• Minimum of one year recent experience in an Operating Room (OR) setting
• Proficient in perioperative nursing practices and sterile techniques
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
• Experience assisting with a variety of surgical specialties preferred

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms, ensuring compliance with infection control standards
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to coordinate patient care
• Circulate and/or scrub for a range of surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and sterile environment
• Accurately document patient information and surgical activities
• Monitor patient status and respond to emergencies according to established protocols
• Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families
• Participate in pre-op and post-op assessments as needed
