Functional Consultant - SAP EPPM & PS

We are seeking an experienced Functional Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management (EPPM) and SAP Project System (PS) to support business process design, solution implementation, and ongoing enhancements. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical consultants to deliver scalable SAP solutions aligned with organizational goals. Additional Information* The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $95k - $105k/year & benefits (see below). The Role Responsibilities Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications within SAP EPPM and SAP PS. Lead or support implementation, rollout, enhancement, and support projects related to project planning, portfolio management, project execution, budgeting, costing, and reporting. Configure and customize SAP EPPM and PS modules based on business needs. Facilitate workshops with business users to gather requirements and define future-state processes. Support integration of SAP PS/EPPM with other SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, HR, PM, and BW/Analytics. Prepare functional design documents, process flows, configuration documents, test scripts, and user training materials. Coordinate with technical teams for developments, enhancements, reports, forms, interfaces, and workflows. Perform system testing, SIT, UAT, and support defect resolution. Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations. Ensure best practices in project lifecycle management, budgeting, cost planning, resource management, and project reporting are followed. Requirements Strong functional experience in SAP EPPM and Project structures (WBS, networks, milestones) Cost planning and budgeting Project execution and monitoring Resource planning Portfolio and item management Project financials and reporting Experience in SAP configuration and business process mapping. Knowledge of integration points between SAP PS/EPPM and other SAP modules, especially FI/CO. Ability to create functional specifications and work with ABAP/technical teams. Experience in full project lifecycle implementations, rollouts, or support engagements. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to interact with business users and stakeholders across functions. Preferred, but not required Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field. SAP certification in SAP PS / SAP Project Management / related module is preferred. Experience with S/4HANA is an added advantage. Knowledge of project portfolio management processes in industries such as Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing, Utilities, or IT Services is preferred.
