Senior IT Systems Specialist
Rocket IT Client Services Team - Suwanee, GA - Full Time

We’re looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Systems Specialist who thrives in a fun, fast-paced environment and is enthusiastic about resolving high level technical issues and helping others succeed.

As Senior Systems Specialist, you’ll motivate, encourage, and grow a team of IT professionals, ensuring excellence in client satisfaction and service quality. Because you’re an expert in making things better, you’ll also recommend improvements to our existing strategy, security, and support processes. The ideal Senior Systems Specialist candidate has extensive server-level support experience and expertise in at least one other functional area, such as cloud services, security, and/or networking.

Key Responsibilities

• Help people and organizations maximize IT uptime and performance
• Provide Tier II/III support for internal systems and client networks
• Mentor support staff
• Assess a variety of technology problems and resolve in a timely manner
• Remote access implementation and support
• Manage and troubleshoot Office 365
• Document activities, steps to resolution, and process improvements

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree (IT relevance preferred)
• 4+ years of IT support experience
• 3+ years of Windows Server experience
• 1+ years of Cisco switch experience
• Advanced competency in IP network switches, routers, firewalls
• Other helpful experience: ConnectWise, Cisco, Amazon Web Services, VMware, SonicWall

Certifications
Senior Systems Specialists must possess one or more of the following industry designations:

• Microsoft Azure Solution Architect
• Cisco CCNA or CCIE
• AWS Solutions Architect Professional
• VMWare VCP – Data Virtualization

Have plenty of industry certifications, but not these specific ones? Go ahead and apply! Scholarships may be available for highly qualified candidates with a proven track record of certification achievement.
