Arborist Safety Coordinator

As the Local Office Safety Coordinator (LOSC), you will play a critical role in enhancing the skills, performance, and productivity of trainees and team members in our office. Responsibilities Partnering with the local manager and arborist representatives to manage and develop the office safety program. Providing safe on‑site training, mentoring, and supervision of crew members of all skill levels. Ensuring that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignment. Conducting periodic crew, facility, and pesticide storage audits. Ensuring that new employee orientations are conducted in a meaningful way. Scheduling and conducting daily Tailgate Safety Meetings. Ensuring that all tree care work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards. Performing ground, tree climbing, and aerial lift duties in support of specific job assignments. Safely performing all aspects of arboriculture, including: Tree identification Tree risk assessments Pruning Removals Cabling and bracing Root collar excavations Properly maintaining and operating tools and equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts) Learning, understanding, and adhering to all safety rules and company safety policies. Qualifications and Requirements At least five (5) years of experience in the tree care industry. Valid driver’s license (Class B CDL preferred). Ability to work outdoors year‑round in all weather conditions. Demonstrated ability to conduct group and individual training or prior crew leader experience. Proven initiative, positive attitude, team‑oriented, and self‑motivated. ISA Certified Arborist certification is preferred but not required. Benefits $30.00–$40.00 per hour.
