We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Bakersfield, California. This position will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting activities, and helping guide sound fiscal decisions across the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical ability, hands-on accounting expertise, and the confidence to manage complex reconciliations, compliance matters, and budgeting support in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day accounting activities to ensure financial operations are completed accurately and on schedule.

• Produce financial reports and analytical summaries that support leadership decision-making and operational planning.

• Develop revenue estimates and expense forecasts to help the organization manage financial performance effectively.

• Support budget preparation and ongoing budget tracking by reviewing variances and identifying areas that need attention.

• Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts, resolving discrepancies and maintaining the integrity of financial data.

• Assist with year-end audit coordination by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses for auditors.

• Research and address audit exceptions, compliance concerns, and account variances in a timely manner.

• Prepare and review tax filings across federal, state, local, and other applicable jurisdictions.

• Contribute to improvements in accounting processes, procedures, and related financial programs while providing guidance to less experienced accounting staff.

• Experience performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accuracy across balance sheet accounts.
• Background in preparing or supporting corporate tax return filings and related compliance activities.
• Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to interpret data and present clear findings.
• Proven knowledge of general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and financial reporting practices.
• Ability to assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in a detail-oriented accounting environment.
• Familiarity with audit preparation and resolving discrepancies identified through review processes.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
