Job Summary:

The Income and Operations Analyst oversees Income Audit and Night Audit and assists the Director of Finance in analyzing business operations throughout the company.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervise Income and Night Auditors; responsible for scheduling, training, and personnel development.
• Directly responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of income.
• Analyze current business processes and provide alternatives.
• Develop companywide standards and procedures for receipts handling (cash, credit cards, etc.), revenue / sales reporting, expense processing, and discounts.
• Prepare various month-end reports related to resort productivity, credit card commission fees, cost of sales, etc.
• Complete monthly account reconciliations.
• Understand departmental processes and data flow from initial check creation to profit and loss reporting for each department to aid in analysis.
• Aid in optimizing use of current systems (InfoGenesis, SMS Host & Point of Sale, Dataworks) for operations and for analysis.
• Assist with implementation of new systems.
• Serve as a liaison between IT, operations departments, and Accounting / Finance.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets for various departments.
• Stay current on credit card agreements and best practices.
• Monitor compliance with standards and procedures and notify appropriate management when transactions are not in compliance.
• Assist with cash concession preparation and reconciliation during special events.
• Communicate ideas and proposals effectively; write technical procedures in clear and understandable English.
• Attend various divisional team meetings representing the Finance and/or Accounting departments.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 2 years accounting experience required.
• Good organizational and time management skills necessary.
• Thorough understanding of accounting required.
• Analytical skills critical, as well as the ability to manage spreadsheet software, accounting systems, etc.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to learn accounting, budgeting, reporting, and operations systems such as Great Plains (previous experience with GP a plus), SMS (Springer Miller), Point of Sale (Retail), Gate America, IG (Info Genesis), and Dataworks in relatively short timeframe.
• Must be able to work in an accurate, organized, and efficient manner. High level of attention to detail and good communication skills required.

Desired Skills:

• College degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• Hotel/resort experience preferred.
