Job Description

This role ensures that outgoing orders are prepared accurately, properly documented, and shipped on time within a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. The Shipping and Receiving Associate supports daily logistics operations by verifying documentation, coordinating with internal teams, and handling materials safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Review outgoing orders and ensure all required documents are complete and accurate before shipment.
• Verify that the bill of lading (BOL) is correct for each order, including item details, quantities, and destination information.
• Prepare shipments by organizing, packaging, and staging products for delivery to customers or internal locations.
• Support shipping and receiving activities within a manufacturing or industrial environment, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Assist with receiving incoming materials, verifying counts and condition, and routing them to the appropriate areas when needed.
• Coordinate with logistics and warehouse personnel to ensure orders move efficiently through the shipping process.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient operations.
• Stand and work on your feet for extended periods while performing shipping, receiving, and material handling tasks.
• Follow all safety requirements, including the proper use of steel-toed boots and safety glasses.

Essential Skills

• Experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or production environments.
• Ability to review and verify bills of lading (BOL) and other shipping documentation for accuracy.
• Mechanical or assembly experience that supports handling and organizing products and materials.
• Basic understanding of electrical or mechanical components used in an industrial setting is beneficial.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods.
• Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with logistics processes, including coordinating shipments and deliveries.
• Comfort working with both mechanical and electrical components in an assembly or industrial setting.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing shipping documents and preparing orders.
• Ability to work collaboratively with logistics, warehouse, and production teams.

Work Environment

The role is based in a manufacturing environment that is very clean and climate controlled, providing a comfortable and orderly workspace. You will spend most of your time on your feet, handling materials and performing shipping and receiving tasks. Safety is a priority, and steel-toed boots and safety glasses are required at all times in designated areas. The setting involves typical industrial and warehouse activities, with a focus on maintaining cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety procedures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, OH.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
