St. Josephs Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP BC) to join our Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) team in Syracuse, NY. This full time advanced practice role is essential in assessing, diagnosing, and stabilizing patients experiencing acute behavioral health crises while working within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Position Details:

\n
• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for patients within a high-acuity setting
\n
• Facilitate appropriate referrals for inpatient admission or outpatient psychiatric follow up
\n
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, including psychopharmacologic interventions and crisis stabilization
\n
• Document clinical assessments and treatment interventions in compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards
\n
• Offering a consistent full-time weekly schedule. Schedule options:
\n
\n
• 0.9 FTE- Tuesday, Thursday, & Sunday: 7am-7:30pm
\n
• 0.9 FTE- Tuesday & Thursday, 7am-7:30pm and Friday, 11am-11:30pm
\n
• 1.0 FTE- Tuesday and Thursday: 7am-7:30pm; Friday 3pm-11:30pm; and Sunday 7am-3:30pm

Qualifications:

\n
• Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP BC)
\n
• Experience in emergency psychiatry, acute care, crisis stabilization, or behavioral health preferred, not required
\n
• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
\n
• Ability to work collaboratively within a fast paced team environment
\n
• Commitment to high-quality, patient centered psychiatric care
\n

Compensation:

\n
• $62.50 to $73.11 per hour, depending on experience (plus $10/hr shift differential for evening and weekend hours)
\n
• The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include potential productivity bonuses, quality performance incentives, or other forms of cash compensation. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, and market factors in accordance with State law.

• Productivity Bonus eligible

• Starting Bonus: $3,500
