RN Assistant Director of Ambulatory Nursing

MedStar Health seeks an RN Assistant Director of Ambulatory Nursing to support high-quality, patient-centered care across outpatient settings. Reporting to nursing leadership, this role oversees clinical operations, staff supervision, and quality initiatives in ambulatory clinics. Responsibilities include coordinating care delivery, managing staffing and schedules, supporting evidence-based practice, monitoring quality and safety metrics, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The Assistant Director mentors RNs and clinical staff, supports process improvement, collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and advances MedStar’s mission of compassionate, community-focused care.
