Job Description

As a Warehouse Worker at the Exchange, you are responsible for quickly handling product within our warehouse to ensure the accurate processing of merchandise. You will receive and inspect items for any quality assurance issues. Attention to detail and keeping clean and organized is a must. You also might assist with efficiently unloading, moving and stocking merchandise, which ranges across a wide variety of items across all departments. You are on the front lines of ensuring our customers have an extraordinary shopping experience - without you, there would be nothing on the shelves!

• Able to use computer software to receive a variety of items, to include firearms and other critical merchandise.

Job Qualifications

• Able to lift up to and occasionally over 40 pounds
• 6 months experience involving records maintenance, receiving, screening, reviewing, and verifying documents.
• Able to learn and adapt to current technology needs
• Able to think quickly on the spot to answer customer questions
• Able to take initiative
• Able to share brand knowledge

AVAILABILITY NEEDED: MON-FRI: 1000-1500. WITH PROPER NOTICE SCHEDULE MAY VARY DUE TO OPERATIONAL NEEDS. REGULAR SCHEDULE WORKWEEK HOURS: 20-25HRS

Job Qualifications

Education: High school or equivalent. General experience: Six months' general experience. Specialized experience: Six months' specialized experience which involved maintaining records, receiving, screening, reviewing, and verifying documents and preparing and/or verifying the validity of documents. Must possess a valid operator's license for materials handling equipment and/or hydraulic forklift where required by local/state laws or military regulations.

If a sufficient number of qualified candidates do not apply, the minimum qualifications may be lowered without reposting.

Major Duties

Receives and documents all incoming shipments of stationery and supplies, vendor packages, etc., according to instructions. Checks quantity and condition of shipments and annotates records accordingly. Signs receiving documents and annotates receipt in freight register.
Posts receipts and issues of equipment and office supplies to cardex stock record cards. Maintains stock record card for reordering purposes.
Assembles and delivers equipment and furniture throughout headquarters. Performs minor repairs on furniture, such as, gluing or simple carpentry work.
Delivers/distributes miscellaneous packages, e.g., vendor samples, nonstock items purchased, etc. Operates a motor vehicle (dual axle truck) to pick-up/deliver equipment and furniture. Delivers items to Carswell AFB property disposal office for appropriate action.
Packs and marks outgoing shipments, transfers of supplies, equipment and vendor samples to insure correct shipment, documentation, and control.
Complies with housekeeping, safety, and security procedures. Assists in taking physical inventories. Receives, signs for in the absence of supervisor, and insures correct amounts of all incoming supplies and equipment.
Loads and off loads as required. Operates hydraulic forklift, as required.
Actively communicates/promotes the benefits of the Military Star credit card to customers in order to drive sales growth and increase customer loyalty. Performs other duties as assigned.
