As new owners of The Katy Golf Club, Tank Connection decided to invest in the community by creating a new venue earmarked to celebrate its grand opening in August/September 2026 to coincide with The Katy Golf Club being open to the public for 100 years. The new facility will house a full-service restaurant, bar, and event space geared to service golfers, local residents, and community visitors for standard lunch and dinner dining along with special events such as tournaments, weddings, and other community and corporate events. Our mission is to create an exceptional experience both on and off the course through quality food, friendly service, and memorable hospitality. Position Overview The Front-of House (FOH) Service Manager / Assistant Restaurant General Manager will help lead our front-of-house team and support the launch of our new restaurant. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with strong leadership skills, a passion for service excellence, and the ability to build systems and culture from the ground up. FOH Service Manager / Assistant Restaurant General Manager Duties and Responsibilities Lead front-of-house (FOH) operations during the restaurant opening and daily service. Hire, train, schedule, and coach servers, hosts, bartenders, and support staff. Maintain exceptional guest service standards and resolve customer concerns. Oversee floor management, table flow, and service execution during peak hours. Support onboarding, training programs, and team development. Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and service standards. Assist with inventory, ordering, and cost control for FOH supplies. Manage cash handling, point-of-sale (POS) accuracy, and daily reporting. Collaborate with the Restaurant General Manager and Bar Manager on events, promotions, and service improvements. Uphold Ember & Oak Kitchen’s culture of hospitality, teamwork, and professionalism. May perform other duties as assigned. Education and Qualifications 2+ years of front-of-house (FOH) management or supervisory experience (restaurant or hotel). Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage high-volume service with calm, professional presence. Experience with staff training, scheduling, and performance coaching. Knowledge of service standards, guest relations, and FOH operations. POS experience (Aloha/Lightspeed preferred). Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. New restaurant opening experience is a plus but not required. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of FOH Service Manager / Assistant Restaurant General Manager, the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work involves exposure to hot surfaces and sharp utensils. Weekend, evening, and holiday availability required.
