job summary:
Step into an impactful long-term contract role as a Lab Tech III with a top-tier global pharmaceutical leader in North Chicago, IL. Operating 100% on-site within a Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) setting, this position features an 80/20 balance of hands-on laboratory activities and analytical reporting. You will collaborate directly with a senior supervisor while providing critical support to a dynamic technical team.

responsibilities:

• Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing, formulation work, and bioanalytical assays (SEC, CEX, HIC, RP-HPLC).
• Utilize particle testing techniques, UV/IR/Fluorescence spectroscopy, pH measurement, Karl Fisher, and viscosity evaluations.
• Operate HPLC instrumentation using Empower software to capture, analyze, and interpret consistent analytical data.
• Maintain complete and compliant documentation of experiments using an Electronic Lab Notebook (eLN).
• Support daily lab maintenance, standard safety practices, and strict adherence to cGMP regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Troubleshoot experimental setups, laboratory equipment, and instrumentation as needed.

 
qualifications:
Required:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
• Proven hands-on HPLC experience and general laboratory skills (pipetting, weighing, solution preparation).
• Professional background in the pharmaceutical industry or a GLP laboratory environment.
• Knowledge of bioanalytical testing methods.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with Empower software.
• Experience with particle sizing, force testing, or sub-visible particle analysis.
