We're looking for an experienced Assembly Technician to join our team assembling and testing precision laboratory equipment. If you have a strong mechanical or electrical assembly experience, enjoy working with your hands, and take pride in building high-quality products, we'd like to hear from you.

• Assemble electromechanical equipment and laboratory machines according to specifications and quality standards
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions
• Use hand and power tools to build and install components, assemblies, and subassemblies
• Test, inspect, and troubleshoot completed units to ensure proper functionality
• Make adjustments and calibrations as needed to meet customer requirements
• Perform visual quality inspections and identify defects or assembly issues
• Gather materials and components needed for production builds
• Prepare equipment and materials for packaging and shipment
• Support production schedules while maintaining quality and efficiency standards
• Assist with training team members and sharing assembly knowledge
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

• 2+ years of mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical assembly experience
• Ability to read and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
• Stable work history and strong attention to detail
• Ability to stand and work throughout an 8-hour shift
• Basic English reading and communication skills

You'll work in a spotless, climate-controlled manufacturing environment with dedicated production areas and warehouse support. The facility is organized, well-maintained, and designed to promote efficiency, quality, and teamwork.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waukegan, IL.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Waukegan,IL.
