Job Title: Machine Builder Job Description We are seeking a skilled Machine Builder to join our team. This position operates on the first shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The role involves significant welding and fabricating, as well as manual machining tasks such as using lathes, mills, and grinders. Responsibilities Build sub-assemblies from piece parts. Construct new machines and rebuild existing machines from sub-assemblies using blueprints, verbal, and written instructions. Ensure all parts are available for sub-assembly by checking parts in boxes against bills of materials. Collaborate with the Engineering Department to verify the accuracy of blueprints or spec sheets. Essential Skills Welding and fabrication skills, particularly with stainless steel. Mechanical assembly and machine building experience. Proficient in blueprint reading and the use of power and hand tools. Ability to troubleshoot electrical components and work with pneumatics. Repair and maintenance skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous mechanical experience such as production mechanic, auto mechanic (certification required), or machine shop experience. Completion of one blueprint reading class and one shop math class. Ability to use precision measuring tools like micrometers and verniers. Fluency in reading and writing in English. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
