Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide advanced nursing care to emergency department patients in a high-acuity setting. Deliver critical interventions, triage, and patient assessments in a fast-paced environment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize incoming patients using ESI guidelines for efficient triage.
• Administer medications, IV insertions, and perform EKGs as required.
• Assist with emergent procedures such as intubation, rapid sequence intubation, and CPR.
• Monitor and document patient condition using Meditech EMR accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with trauma, stroke, and other specialized teams to initiate appropriate care.
• Maintain infection control protocols and comply with unit policies and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a minimum of 5 years recent emergency department nursing experience in a high-acuity setting.
• Possess current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC preferred.
• Demonstrate strong triage, critical thinking, and trauma care skills.
• Have experience with trauma and cardiac alerts, including STEMI, stroke, and sepsis management.
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse.
