Ryder is hiring a CDL B Local Straight Truck Driver in Chester, NY . A local truck driving job typically consists of transporting freight within a 200-mile radius, allowing the driver to complete their deliveries and return home the same day. Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: $29.25
  • 45+ hours per week
• Bonuses
  • Loyalty Bonus: $1500 paid at 9 months

Home Time, Route & Schedule:

• Home Daily
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Route: 250 mile radius of Chester NY
• Freight: Heavy Touch – Medical Supplies
  • Pallet Jack, Stair Walkers, Forklifts

Equipment:

• Straight Trucks
• 24' & 26' Straight Truck
• 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CDL B License
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Must have Class B verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
• Must live within 30 miles of Chester, NY
