Senior Mechanical / Process Piping Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Mechanical / Process Piping Engineer to support complex industrial and high-tech manufacturing projects in Taylor, Texas.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in process engineering and piping design, with the ability to develop and deliver process piping systems for new construction and renovation projects. Experience in semiconductor, battery manufacturing, display fabrication, or other advanced manufacturing facilities is highly preferred.

The Senior Process Piping Engineer will provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle, from conceptual design and criteria development through construction documentation, commissioning, and construction support.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform detailed process engineering and process piping design for complex industrial environments.

• Develop process flow diagrams, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), system layouts, equipment sizing and selection, and related specifications.

• Design process equipment and piping systems and develop documentation for system startup and commissioning.

• Apply engineering principles to develop process designs from conceptual design through completed construction documents.

• Provide engineering and technical support during construction.

• Develop innovative engineering solutions to address complex technical and project challenges.

• Define and implement structured engineering approaches, best practices, and standardized processes.

• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and support to project engineering staff.

• Review engineering work and address unusual or technically challenging design issues.

• Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines, project management teams, system owners, vendors, and contractors.

• Participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings and support effective communication across project teams.

• Support business development, proposals, project pursuits, and technical consulting activities as needed.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and optimize engineering workflows and processes.

• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and other engineering deliverables as required.

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution or a related field.

• Master’s degree preferred.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

• 7+ years of relevant experience in process engineering or process piping.

• Experience with semiconductor, battery manufacturing, or other advanced manufacturing industries preferred.

• Strong understanding of process systems and control philosophies, including P&ID development.

• Knowledge of applicable U.S. building codes, engineering standards, and construction requirements.

• Experience with technical reporting, engineering analysis, and computer-based simulations.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Korean language proficiency is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam .

• Familiarity with building energy calculation or engineering analysis software.

• Experience with process piping design and documentation.

• Ability to interpret and develop P&IDs and process system layouts.

• Familiarity with equipment selection, sizing, and process system integration.

Preferred Experience

• Semiconductor or display fabrication facility experience.

• Battery manufacturing facility experience.

• Experience with large-scale industrial or high-tech manufacturing projects.

• Experience supporting process system startup and commissioning.

• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, vendors, contractors, and system owners.

• Technical publications or professional engineering contributions are a plus.
